Nice campground room between lots all crushed concrete and very close to level. A pond for fishing, and swimming and the price was just above average.
My two younger boys and myself spent the weekend at hideaway RV park a couple of weeks back. We had a wonderful time. Hideaway was quite, calm and relaxing which makes a difference from the state parks and koas were used to. The boys could have spent all day fishing.
After spending two months at Hideaway RV Park, we were so comfortable that we extended our stay for another two weeks—and we’ve already made plans to spend the full season here next year. This park really lives up to its name. At its center is a peaceful pond with a clean beach and dock area, paddle boats, and a playground. From our shaded site, it was a treat to watch kids splashing in the water while we relaxed under the trees. Although there’s space for many more RVs, the owners have chosen to keep much of the property as open green space, with sloping lawns and well-kept gardens that give the park a quiet, spacious feel. We especially enjoyed the three walking paths through the surrounding woods. The trails are wide, mulched, and easy to walk, with plenty of shade. Along the way, we often saw deer, rabbits, chipmunks, and birds—which made our daily walks with our Boston Terrier a highlight of the stay. (We did run into deer flies for a couple of weeks, but they didn’t last long.) What stood out most was the atmosphere. Many guests return year after year, and it’s easy to see why. Owners Linda and Tim are hands-on and attentive, and their efforts show in every detail—from the immaculate grounds to the beautiful gardens. Hideaway RV Park is exactly what we were looking for: peaceful, well-maintained, and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back next season.
Hideaway has friendly staff and other campers. It's not noisy and nice and calm. Clean campground. Nice pond in the middle of campground. Free fishing and swimming. Bathhouse and washer and dryer. Great safe place to stay near interstate and 10min away from anything you would ever need in Jackson.
Our site was too small and lopsided. The road/culdesac had been reworked to make more sites. Full price should not have been charged for our site 38, as if we had the same spacious site as the rest of the campground. This was the worst site we've stayed at in our 20 years of camping with our RVs.
