Beautiful beach and not crowded.
Beautiful Park. All sites have been refurbished as well as the bathrooms.
You will never see nature like this in Panama City Beach or any other touristy spot on the Gulf Coast for that matter. Bring bug spray and water. Keep a sharp lookout for Eagles, report all sightings, and assist if possible by removing any litter you see in the park. The campground is still closed as of September 2021 but Saint George is only 40 miles east. There is NO Walmart here, at all, Port Saint Joe is last call. BRING BUG SPRAY
Great
There are few places left that are wilderness beach, but this is what you have on the upper part of this state park. It is a stunningly beautiful beach. The shelling is good. Campsites are nestled down in the dunes among rich flora and feisty fauna. There are toilets and showers nearby. I've spent some of the best weeks of my life here, and that includes time in London, Cornwall, Paris, Florence, Grand Canyon/Bryce Canyon areas, California, and Acadia National Park in Maine. It's just one of the most beautiful places in the world. Go!
