Discovery Hahndorf Resort

We had a lovely stay at this park. The park itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The view from the pet friendly cabin was so unexpected. Beautiful big trees and it really felt like a hills getaway. The rabbits were frequent visitors both at the front and back of the cabin which was an added bonus! The only constructive feedback I would give is that it would be handy to have an oven especially if you were staying longer and a freezer. We were also unable to stream anything on the tv which we were able to do at other discovery parks. The farmers market was brilliant and so close right across the road they had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

This is a great park to stay at with a family! Great facilities including the toilets, shower and laundry. Powered sites with ease of access to water, power and drainage for grey water use. We stayed in a powered site right near the playground, ramp circuit and mini golf, kids loved it! The Games room is also well equipped when it was too hot of a day. We will definitely be coming back to stay!

Recently stayed in a powered site. The park is very well maintained and all amenities and the camp kitchen kept spotless and in good condition. The caravan sites are spacious and the use of hedges and plants around each site provides privacy. There were a lot of extra features to keep both adults and kids entertained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The christmas decorations spread throughout the park added to the festive atmosphere. This was the most well maintained and clean park we have stayed in.

We travel extensively, and this is easily the cleanest cabin we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Arguably, our accommodation was better than many hotel rooms we've been in as well. Obviously recently refurbished, the decor was fresh, modern, clean and tasteful. Strong block out curtains greatly appreciated for a good night sleep alongside the comfy bed, pillows and crisp linens. Lots to do for the younger travellers. Quiet location. Easy parking. This place is really impressive. Would stay again and recommend 10/10.

We stayed at Discovery Parks Hahndorf and were really impressed with how well-kept the entire park is. The gardens are lovely, with plenty of trees throughout. We were in a cabin, but the caravan sites also looked great—each with their own garden space and a tree on every site. Once those trees grow a little more, they’ll provide great shade in summer and let the light through in winter, which will make the park even nicer. Our cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It had a lovely outlook over the lake, and we really enjoyed being greeted by the morning sun on the big deck. The only small negative was the lack of a walkway down the side to reach our car, which meant we had to walk past our neighbours’ front area each time. The kids’ facilities were fantastic—our kids absolutely loved the bouncing pillow, playground, bike track and mini golf. It really added to the stay and kept them happily entertained. Overall, a really nice park and a very enjoyable stay.
