Bald Eagle Campground & RV Sites

I stayed at the Bald Eagle recently on a bikecamping trip. it was starting to rain as I was riding so I was very happy that the campsite could accommodate me on short notice. Very hospitable hosts. The river was nice and the place was clean, well tended, and surprisingly quiet. i think I only heard one person the entire night. It's true that the washrooms could use some cleaning but they worked, including the hot water. Would definitely stay again. Great place!

Really good campsite! The location is good, as its away from the business of the highway but not too far away that it takes a long time to get to it. There are many good campsites, and the atmosphere of the campground is friendly and relaxed. There's also a really good spot to swim in the Chemainus River that is right by the campground. If you're looking for a good campground to go with your family, I definitely recommend checking out Bald Eagle!

The staff are so wonderful, friendly and accommodating. There is a playground, ping pong tables and massive chest board. Some of the camp sites are along the river and pretty. The overall vibe of the campground however is a bit rundown. It needs a solid update or major clean-up on the land. There seems to be a close community of resident RVs who appear to have a great time together. As an outsider coming for a few nights, it wasn't the greatest, but I could see as a long term summer stay it could be nice.

Granted we came in the off season, but this campground needs allot of work. The washrooms are in very poor condition, allot of the sites were flooded. But the one highlight had to be the river right beside the campground with a full salmon run. Fantastic location, just needs some repairs.

We stayed here with our RV and it was perfect! Our kids had a great time playing in the playground and swimming in the river and the campsites were nice and shady which was a relief as the weather was super hot. We will definitely be camping here again next year.
