I came here to get to see the inside of a coal mine and it was very informative! You can tell a lot of work went into this tour. Nick was especially friendly and took great care of me. This is a helpful high level view of how important this industry was through our history, and how it has changed over time. I developed more respect for the people who worked these mines for nearly a hundred years and the struggles and challenges they overcame. Take the time to read the signs through the mine entrance as they give good context and information.
GREAT ! Very good tour guide !!! This place was something years ago just shows how good people would band together to work hard back in the day !
Took the family here today and it was simply amazing! Our guide was super knowledgeable and answered all of our questions! We felt this was important for our son to see. We have several family members who worked these mines.
Stop there on a Sunday ,couldn't find any hours or phone numbers so hopefully these brochures help someone.
Stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon in mid December. Was a great learning experience and my son loved the tour inside the Mine. The tour guide was great even took time after the tour to talk to my son and I about the mine.
