Thornton Riverbend Holiday Park

Wheelchair accessible villa: very spacious and well laid out, easy for a mobility scooter dependent person to manoeuvre. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, fans and airconditioning, everything clean and well maintained. Right beside the Goulburn River, beautiful anytime of day. And a pool onsite. Great for relaxing, but good location for exploring Lake Eildon and the Cathedral ranges.

We’re so happy to have stumbled upon this little gem of a holiday park. Plenty of activities for kids and adults with several spots to access the river. Facilities were lovely and clean with great shower pressure, and the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which also added to our experience. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Accessible cabin was fantastic, fully accessible bathroom with enough room to swing a cat. Little bbq available to use as well as a full kitchen and a table for eating at. Ramp into room was good and easy to manoeuvre.

We love Thornton Riverbend Holiday Park ! We come with our family every year. Fantastic spot on the Goulburn River, amazing pools with an even better view ! We fish, we swim, we float down the river, have a fire and chat to our neighbours! A pub across the road, what more does one need? Highly recommend. Jamie the manager is a fabulous bloke who is always smiling and up for a chat.

Facilities are older but very clean, and the park sits right on the Goulburn River which is beautiful and peaceful. It’s an older-style park with lots of permanent holiday sites, but that didn’t bother us at all. We stayed on site 21 for $50 a night, no power/water Great location with a short drive to Alexandra or Eildon, and we could walk to the pub which was a bonus. We did have an inconsiderate group opposite us playing extremely loud music all day and into the night, which affected everyone nearby. However, after several campers raised it with management, they addressed it promptly and we had no issues after that — really appreciated the management stepping in. Overall a peaceful stay on the river, and we’ve already booked again for next year. Looking forward to it!
