This caravan park has so much going for it. Unfortunately it disappointed us. In the positive, the cost is good for a caravan site. The location is great, being close to Nambucca Heads wonderful beaches and inlet and Macksville for groceries and pubs. The pool is good for families with fountains and a baby play area. They also have a couple of great Camping kitchens with BBQ's, enclosed cooking facilities and plenty of seating. There is a bonus basket ball court, pool table and mini golf. Fantastic, you say! And we did too, until we realised that perhaps they are trying to save money by automatic check-in. It was obvious that the most financial benefit for this caravan park were the permanent residents. The rules for vans are that you need to come in after 12 noon. One morning we were woken up by tyres reversing and going forward on the gravel next to us. This was a 4.30 in the morning! WTha? People were backing into their van site at this time in the moring? Waking up the nieghbours! This is something that we have never experienced before. There were other times that people came in late at night and left early in the morning. Obviously word has got around that you can come and go as you please and avoid paying. We sent an email to the Caravan Park and suggested that a boom gate be installed like most caravan parks and heard nothing in return. I do not think that the work ethics of Nambucca River Tourist Park warrant us staying again. And I suggust you think seriously too. Unless you want to avoid paying.
Such a lovely stay, and very quiet and calm. It was exactly what we needed on the lead up to Xmas. The pool area was great for my 5 year old and not crowded like other campgrounds, being neurodivergent this is exactly what she needed. The service was excellent and super organised for check in. We even left our phone charger there and they kindly posted in back to us. We are very thankful. It wasn't an issue for us, but you do have to drive to either Macksville or Nambucca heads and not walk, but you're in a easy place to drive to the best beaches and say trips. Thank you, we had a great time and adored your resident water dragons.
I stayed at Nambucca River Park for two nights. TOPS place. The grounds lovely, pool spotless and surrounds manicured. The older cabin was very comfortable and clean, linen super sparkling white. The staff I cannot fault them so helpful, polite, Kahla, Kylie and manager Rachael just nice girls. Highly recommend the park. Will go again.
Here really feels like paradise. The spacious camping sites, the clean and well-maintained public facilities, and the peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and unwind. What impressed us the most was how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff were. We had a wonderful rest here, and we will definitely come back on our next trip.
Stayed one night on the way home, park in a good location and camping was in a large quiet area, park well maintained. Great facilities, well equipped modern camp kitchen, pool was lovely and clean and enjoyed using the pool table. The roomy bathroom with a twin shower was an awesome idea, would be great for families trying to shower a little one.
