My wife and I once stayed here and had an issue with something not working. We contacted the manager about how we felt we didn't get what we paid for, so the manager gave us a partial refund to make up for it. I was very pleased with that honest customer service. I'd be happy to stay here again.
Cute little place to stay for the evening on way through. Just when you feel like you are literally out in the middle of nowhere this place appears. Rooms are comfy and cozy. But I feel they charge way too much for winter rates. I’m from the country myself and I understand things don’t always go as you’d wish for when it’s -30 out. The only heat in the room I had was a space heater because the furnace wasn’t working. The electric kept tripping and I’d lose power to that heater and the tv a a light so had to re-arrange a couple times to different outlets. This is expected to happen on this weather and in the middle of nowhere indeed! But why $200 a night on top of an addition $35 for pet. Not fair if you ask me. But cute place :)
I traveled through on a freezing winter day on my way out of Alaska. I’ve never found myself so happy to settle into a room that, while not particularly special, provided all a needed. From a rocking chair and heater to a comfortable bed and a nice hot shower, there’s nothing more I needed. In the morning, the staff was so extraordinarily kind, welcoming, and fun that it ensured I had a great start on the next leg of my ~3000 mile trip.
AVOID. plan your trip to stop earlier or push the last 2 hours to Tok. Was quoted one price over the phone, arrived and it was 100 more then quoted. My options were pay a cancelation fee that was high and push on to tok, in the pitch black over a crappy road doing 50kph max, or backtrack 200 miles to Whitehorse. So I was stuck and they knew it. they over charged by a ton. the room for "budget" is 100-120 and you have to share a bathroom with 4 other people or pay 250 for the "family" suit. that room was okay but for 250, plus a family fee for each person over the 2 person limit, plus 35 for the doggo.... I expected a little nicer room then to hear the employees and customers until 11pm through the floor. For that much I would hope they give you a free breakfast sandwich or something. Nope. have to pay 10 bucks for a sandwich thays lesser then a burger king breakfast sandwich. These people are the only thing open in the area in winter and they know it, and take full advantage of it and the travelers. Apparently Alaska moves is the only thing that kept them in business through winter and covid. What a shame.
Really cute, great place! Log cabin kind of place that was in a perfect location for our drive through Canada. Not crazy updated, but everything was super clean and staff was really great! The store has everything too (not super cheap, but normal for the area). Definitely recommend!
