From the Gold Coast. Travelling from Glen Innes, Bingara, Gunnedah, Mudgee, Cowra, with more towns to explore. Our best superior cabins so far is this one and Big4 at Mudgee. The washing machines in Cowra is much cheaper. They have their differences. In a good way. We were only here for a couple of nights. So not much exploring in town or surrounding areas. Other than Wyangala dam and the Historic Woodstock Hotel for lunch. We drove south from Cowra. And done the big loop around to Wyangala, coming out at Woodstock. Then to the highway. 20 kilometres from Cowra. And a stop over at the Historic village of Carcoar, before we arrive in Cowra. The couple running the park, were very easy to talk to. We phone all caravan parks, to make our accommodations directly, not on line. So we get a better deal. Be very careful with the kids riding e-bikes very fast on the weekends. In the Cowra Van Park. The green ripe figs we bought at the markets. They were $2. Each. I’ve never had this type of fig before. They were nicer, than your normal fig with a hint of red on them. I will be keeping my eyes out for more. We won’t be staying at this park again. The very noisy thousand cockatoo’s during the day. From 4am in the morning, till 10pm at night. It’s just not peaceful at all. And such a nice park. Except for the cockatoo’s. The lady at reception on the weekends. Is quite happy to let her son, on his e-bike, race around the park at speed. In between cabins and caravans.
An amazing find on a very wet road trip. We had to do an unplanned stop with our camper van and doggie. The owner was very obliging and helped us recover from an unexpected health set back. Very very clean Great amenities Highly recommended
We stayed there for a couple of days on a Drive Through concrete slab powered site. Service was good and informative. The site well maintained. The facilities were clean and the water pressure good. The kitchen area had books to read, fully equipped with oven and microwave. TV, lounge, dine table . Dump point easily accessable. Right by the river. The Cockatoos were noisy and going about their lives which was lovely to listen to , be it from easily 4 am. Definitely will stay there again.
We stayed at Cowra Van Park for a last-minute short stay to break up a long drive with our 4-year-old and our Cocker Spaniel, and we were very pleasantly surprised. It’s a small, well-maintained park and exceptionally clean. The location is great—right next to the river with a lovely oval beside the park, which was perfect for our child and dog. Although our cabin was near the road, we found it very quiet apart from a few random local cars, but otherwise great. We stayed in a renovated 2-bedroom cabin with two double beds. It was very clean, comfortable, and well set up. The beds were extremely comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the shower had great hot water that lasted. Excellent value for money and ideal for families or anyone needing a comfortable stopover. Highly recommend.
Site was well maintained, bathrooms were clean and tidy and the disabled bathroom was spacious with a decent wall mounted shower seat. Would be a bit tricky to get in with the front doors, but thankfully I was only using it as a space to bath our newborn safely. The kitchen space was good and bbqs were nice and clean. Best part was how luscious and green the grass was, all the sites were beautiful and there wasn't a prickle in sight! Sadly only there for the night, but would have loved to stay longer for sure.
