Glen-forest Tourist Park & Vineyard

The most beautiful, clean and well kept farm we've ever visited. The animals all look in wonderful condition, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was the best farm experience we've ever had! Highly recommended!

This place is truly amazing, we are truly blessed to have this on our doorstep. The staff are knowledgeable, and always keen to help, and tell you all about the animals. The grounds and facilities are always maintained to a very high standard. And Lincoln Estates, wine is outstanding !!! We have taken many people to Glen Forest and always been greatly received. I have to question the validity of the review that was written, by YAdelaide. In my opinion someone, would have had to, have been disrespecting the animals, for that member of staff to have a negative reaction to any visitor adult or child. She is passionate about her work and l have never witnessed any aggression from her, on the contrary, she will go out of her way to interact with children of all ages. Our trip to Glen Forest Tourist Park was ruined by the behaviour of the staff member supervising the koala enclosure. The park itself was excellent. Unfortunately, the children’s interaction with this worker was so distressing that it warrants the lowest possible rating and a clear warning to other families. My two sons, aged 12 and 9, were calmly attempting to feed the koalas while my wife and I stood with them inside the enclosure. Without provocation, the staff member had a sudden outburst. She told the boys not to feed the koalas, repeated the instruction again within about three seconds, then immediately claimed it was the third warning and ordered them to leave the enclosure. This reaction was bizarre, disproportionate and completely uncalled for. Everyone present was stunned by the level of aggression. My sons were visibly upset and confused, unable to understand what they had done to trigger such an extreme response. Adding to this, the worker openly remarked that she would rather be having a “wine”, which only reinforced the impression that she was irritable and unprofessional. When I later returned to calmly explain that I believed she had overreacted, she turned on both me and my wife and was staggeringly rude. Her demeanour suggested poor emotional regulation and zero suitability for a role involving children. Frankly, her comment about needing wine raised concerns about whether she was dealing with the effects of a heavy night out. This individual should not be in a customer-facing role, particularly not one involving children. Her behaviour was intimidating, inappropriate and damaging to what should have been a positive family experience. It is a real pity because, aside from this incident, the park itself was enjoyable. I am willing to amend this review if the matter is taken seriously and the employee is dealt with appropriately. Otherwise, I’d go as far to say she is a serious hazard.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful experience at Glen-Forest Tourist Park & Vineyard. The koala feeding was absolutely adorable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. All the animals looked very well cared for, and the entire park was clean and well maintained. We also had great fun playing mini golf together as a family, and were lucky enough to see a peacock showing its feathers. It was a fantastic day out and we highly recommend visiting!
