Very kind hosts. Very friendly people staying there. Showers were nice. Beach was great. Nice place to stay
Beautiful property, lots of things to do, nice beach, well maintained, quiet, clean, and safe. It is quite a ways off the highway, making it very peaceful. It does cater to permanent campers. I think Janet, the owner, told me of the 130 sites, 112 are permanent. Janet was very friendly, we visited about the history of the property and her dad purchasing what was just farmland back in the 70s. She does have events there (weddings) so she is very strict about where you can walk your dog, and I can appreciate that, the grounds are beautiful and there is no shortage of paths and grassy areas for walking the dog. We stayed there for one night in August in our RV and were treated to a beautiful rainbow and the northern lights. We would not hesitate to stay here again. We were in site #23, electricity and water. My Verizon service worked fine. I didn't see a dump station, but that was okay, we were only there one night, passing through.
It is a nice place, but the owners are not very friendly and rude. They treat people poorly to say it nicely. People like that should not have a camp ground anywhere. Dog on leash only there play ground hahaha for little kids only. If you have visitors and they use the restrooms there $5 cost.
Enjoyed our stay and wish I had taken pictures to share! Restroom and shower facilities were clean and the entire campground was well maintained. All sites had electric and water hookup, and they were very spacious with good grass cover and trees. Pet friendly yet respectably strict with pet rules. There is a sandy beach and swim area, playground for kids, and plenty of places to walk around. We definitely recommend Spring Lake and would camp there again.
First time here. Great price for camping with electric and water. My only complaints, and they are minor.. Race track on the property so Friday night got loud (We didn't mind), and the owner lady screaming out her camper window at the kids to remind them to pick up dog poop or get a fine. (There's signs everywhere) The lady at the registration office was awesome, very helpful and polite. They cleaned their bathrooms and showers well. There's a little lake with lots of fish in it and they have a very nice little swimming beach. All the seasonal campers were nice and stopped to talk with us.
