Headed there with the family for the first time and we were not disappointed !!! Very clean resort & staff was super friendly & helpful. Erin the Resort Manager was another friendly face who went out of her way to ensure our happiness. We will be back !!!
This place could be a nice campground. It is in dire need of maintenance and a thorough review of which sites are suitable for RVs and which should actually be only reserved for tents beware of any of the so called sites in what is labeled on site as Settlers Gulch this is a low spot with shotty gravel drive that they book as an rv sight. With some work leveling its a tent area at best. The list as 30amp and water. Which our site #27 had no water. The maintenance guy came down as we booked the site with water and 30 amp and said he's never seen a camper down here. Would have been nice if we were advised that by the site when booking. The pools are fine but the disrepair of the mini gulf course is sad. At least they should have someone go through daily and use a leaf blower to clean the large amounts of debris fron the course. The website shows some sort of petting zoo and that location is run down and hasn't been used in some time. Overall seems like a corporate campground that has a nice shiney website that is much better than reality. Everything is still labeled KOA so maybe it was just purchased by Sun Retreats but they really need to get to work on many aspects. For 2 nights in the Gulch with my 24ft camper with a leaky hose provided by management to get water to my site the total for two nights was an unbelievable 193$....highly disappointed.
This place is a disgrace compared to the memories it used to hold. I came here hoping to make new family memories—especially since my late father used to bring us here when I was a kid—but what I found was a crumbling, neglected mess that clearly no one in charge cares about anymore. The cabin was dirty. Promised supplies like dish soap and a spatula? Nowhere to be found. Coffee? Out of stock. And apparently, no one thought that mattered. The only saving grace in this disaster was Renee from housekeeping—a literal angel in a place that otherwise feels like it's been abandoned by decency. She showed up with her own coffee grounds, a spatula, mugs, and extra plates just to make sure we were okay. She was the only one doing her job, and frankly, she deserves a better employer. As for the seasonal campers—entitled, rude, and act like they run the place. If you're not one of them, don’t expect basic respect or consideration. It feels more like trespassing than vacationing. I wanted this trip to mean something. Instead, I got overpriced nostalgia wrapped in filth, surrounded by people who don’t give a damn. Shame on the ownership. Shame on the management. Do better—or shut it down.
First time visiting campground. Site was clean and ready for us. We had a small issue with the water hook up and it was fixed within minutes by the amazing maintenance man Kenny. The front desk ladies were super helpful and friendly. The manager stopped by to make sure everything was good. The campground itself offers 3 pools which were all very well cared for. Ice cream shop was tasty. Mini golf was good, a little dated, but served its purpose. Playground with the hippo was well used by our grandkids. We would definitely recommend this place and would also utilize the amenities again.
Pictures make it look nice and roomy, but I can assure you that it’s quite the opposite. One lane roads, hitting your camper on trees trying to get to your site, hard to back into your site, some sites are sitting on hills so not level. Wouldn’t recommend for campers/RVs longer than 25’ in length. Paid for a “premium” site that listed sewer in amenities, but only had water and electric. Paid WAY too much for a one night for a water and electric site. Was not a good experience.
