Wave Rock Resort, Lake Magic

Different feeling, high concentration of salt makes it basically impossible to sink with a possible insite on how a high fibre floater might feel although thats something I can't say for certain, what can be certain of is cooling down in the pond at Lake Magic was my favourite part of our trip. Staying at the resort is not required if you're a guest at the caravan park and want to experience it for yourself.

Extremely run down, old and dirty. Had not been wiped down or cleaned properly before we checked in. Surfaces dirty, dead insects on floors etc. Rude, unhelpful and unfriendly woman at reception. Terrible customer service.

5/5 STARS! 🔥 I'm still under the spell of Wave Rock Resort! Stayed here recently and it was absolute perfection. The room was immaculate - spotless clean, super comfy bed, and the views are gorgeous. The saltwater pool was definitely my favourite part. Wave Rock itself was breathtaking. The resort's positioning means you get to soak up that stunning scenery from pretty much everywhere. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be back.

Wow what a hidden gem! Okay so the rooms aren’t perfect but the location is beautiful. Next door to the lake magic swimming pond! And it’s definitely magical. The rooms were clean and tidy. Very roomy. And the surrounding areas were so peaceful and quiet. 100% recommend this place.

Our experience at Wave Rock Resort was unfortunately disappointing. The check-in process lacked clear instructions, and we only found out at the tourist information centre that check-in was handled at the kiosk. The resort itself appeared quite run down. The kitchenette was largely unusable, apart from the microwave, and the plates, cups, and utensils were in poor condition, requiring either thorough cleaning or replacement. The beds were also very worn, dipping in the middle and resulting in poor sleep. Although we have a note that advised to call 120 for emergencies or reception, the number was always engaged, and we later discovered it was not connected. The boom gate was also out of order, causing a 45-minute delay before we could exit. For the price charged, the standard was far below expectations. Overall, it was not the experience we had hoped for, which was particularly disappointing given the wonderful appeal of Wave Rock as a destination.
