Okmulgee State Park

We love to come here to swim and fish. Not always a great fishing spot for us but the kids have fun. No dogs allowed on the beach, some people don't follow this rule.

Great hiking trail

Lots of space, beautiful areas.

Water is normally fairly clean for a lake but sometimes it's not very child friendly. Too many lose uncontrolled dogs and drunks. Weekdays are great.

We love this place. Great for a relaxing afternoon or evening. If you fish, expect to lose some tackle, though. There is a beautiful view of the lake on the walking trail. Has a camp ground, and picnic areas. The dock is nice for fishing. It is busy on the weekends sometimes, but still a great place to take the family. So peaceful when you get a place out in the middle of nowhere and just sit and fish.
