Western Hills Campground & RV Park

This was our second time staying at Western Hills Campground as we pass there to our destination. Easy online reservations, great staff friendly and helpful. The campground itself is very clean, and accommodating for all size of RV’s with a quiet atmosphere.

Great RV park right off the highway but you do not hear the highway noise. We actually stayed twice on our way to Alpine Wy and on our way back home. Sites are nice, big with pull through spots. My only complaint and it is no fault to the rv park, there is a private drive with home owners and they have a huge white dog that literally barked all night! On our first night we stayed they must have had him put away for the night but oh boy not on second trip through. But other than that it’s a great RV park and I highly recommend!

Good service, clean facilities. Lots of space between units. Friendly staff. Rv lot was a gravel parking lot but well maintained and provided a well planned stop. I would definitely stay here again.

9-12-25 - The door handle was replaced. Thanks again for a good overnight. Tried this as an overnight vs the one next to it and glad I did. Last year the other one had let its bathrooms and showers deteriorate to a point of WTH. This facility is my go-to. I like to use a normal bath house on occasion. This facility is much better maintained, clean, no problems, however it's time for a new door handle on that mens room folks, it can only take so much. The sites in the 30X Row are in the 28-30 foot length but they are wide, so you can disconnect and park next to your camper like I did so your tow vehicle is not sticking out too far. Some people didnt disconnect but I dont like to do that. Check in person was nice. Their store has lots of things for sale. Even a bottle of Whiskey if you need it. Will be back here in the future. A little parking lot light, not too much. I prefer a dark area, because well I'm SLEEPING! Excessive lot lighting is a waste of energy. If you need light, use a flashlight and quit being afraid of the dark folks. The lighting here is ok, not too much, but its completely un necessary . And no please dont leave your space ship all lit up like a UFO all night lighting up everyone elses campers that like it dark. If you do this to other campers, you are a Fn C yo u next tuesday.

The staff and owners are wonderful- friendly and accommodating. We stayed overnight in a Class A motor home and had a tow. We were assigned an appropriate site so we didn’t have to unhook. They have lovely dog parks, sites are level gravel with full hook ups. They are convenient to interstate and even have a little store. We didn’t use the bathrooms or laundry but those are also available. We would definitely stay again if in the area!
