Castle Keepers RV Resort

Small RV park with limited amenities run by somewhat sad older woman who doesn’t really need to be dealing with the public. The park itself is not much, the water hookups are VERY far away from the electric to the point an ordinary hose won’t reach. Never had that experience before , was an awkward setup. I reserved a spot via a phone call to owner who curtly told me when I asked if it had septic , that “ full hookups up have septic”. We arrived and called her to no answer and were confused where to go. She promptly called back and she sheepishly told us we were now in a site that didn’t have septic because her one and only full hookup site guests were extending their stay, but she had a dump for when we left. Not a problem, we were only there one night. We pulled around slowly to her residence to get further instructions and she hollered for my husband to stop immediately which was quite an abrupt reaction to us creeping along on the path. We got a site assigned, and I asked her how to pay, she said she would be back. We set up, cooked dinner on grill, walked my dogs 2 times, and never saw her again. I texted her a message on how to pay for site, never heard back. Settled in for evening and at 8:30 she came knocking to get payment. She was smoking and the smell from that permeated into my RV which I couldn’t have been more annoyed with. Settled up, and we left early the next day and had to look around for dump but we found it. Her reviews are pretty bad on her attitude and while I didn’t personally didn’t have a problem with her other than situation with payment she seems like a sad person looking for validation for her worth. She told us 3x she was former electrician and seems very controlling over her petty rules. But that’s why we have reviews, I was only staying there as my motorhome needed repair from the nearby Castle Auto Repair ( which was fabulous), or else I would of avoided this park from all the previous reviews. She tries to be nice but her personality is a little uneven to be dealing the public. Site was only half full where as all others were 100% full.

So Happy we stayed here, 1 night turned into 2 and 2 nights turned into 3. Wonderful hospitality and you close to everything. If we are ever this way again we would Love to stay here again. We did come back on our way home ~ absolutely love this place

Great quiet little campground for 3 nights. Owner was friendly and even moved us to this pull through spot with more room due to a cancellation before we arrived.

Ok so this park was probably the prettiest park that we have stay at....however the owner could possibly work on her people skills a bit. That is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. Just fyi no laundry here only an outdoor shower. That was fine for us but just so you know. :-)

We stayed her for 2 nights. We had site 12 the lighting good and didn't bleed in the window while we were sleeping so that was nice and even though they were right off the main road it was pleasantly quiet the only problem we had with our site was our fresh water hose wasn't long enough but we had a back up hose that worked great! The wifi wasn't that good for me but we assumed coming out this way wouldn't have very good service any way! When we arrived the woman asked us to disconnect our water that night do to the low temp of 32° we have never stayed anywhere that we had to do this so my husband thought he could shut the water off and drain the lines. When we spoke to the woman about the situation the next day she was very passive aggressive about the situation. We understand we should have disconnected the line but i like i said this was our first time going to an RV park and having to do that. if anything had gone wrong or froze we absolutely would have paid to have it fixed. I also understand she is just looking out for her property. Aside from that she was nice woman and very informative about what there was do in the area! There is path behind the office to bring your dog and you can let them off the leash down there! This is a nice quiet place. Follow the rules and you'll see the beauty this place has to offer!
