One of the worst places around. Especially the last Patty who works at the front desk. If you call and ask for a spot they instantly say they don’t have any available, but then if you talk to someone else they say they don’t know when they would ever have spots open. Hands down one of the worst experiences ever
Wonderful campground with truly kind and welcoming staff. Patty was especially gracious and understanding when I arrived about an hour late, which immediately set a positive tone for my stay. The grounds are beautiful, quiet, and incredibly peaceful, nestled among tall pine trees that make it feel secluded and calm. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day. Pricing was very reasonable, especially for the quality of the experience. I can only imagine how lovely this campground would be during the summer months. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
Very pleasant lady at the office she was sincere and honest very knowledgeable about the area.
We don’t have a place there anymore but my kids grew up going down there every weekend. My mom had a place and a boat . I miss it ! I always said I was gonna get me a boat and the 4th of July is off the chain fun!
This place is...interesting. It was calm and enjoyable but not the run of the mill campground. Mostly permanent camp spots here. The short term spots close to the pool were very nice. The pool was nice. The short term spots not on the same road as the pool were in the baking sun, on a hill. The boat ramp exists. There are raggedy docks covered in goose droppings. Extremely shallow water barely suitable for a pontoon or jet ski. But if you don't need luxury docks or want to put your body in the water, then I guess it works. It is in a no-wake cove, so still water. Lots of ick and trees and algae in the water until about 50 feet out from shore. Nice campground to walk the dogs around, though. The office is straight out of 1985, but it does the job. I would pick a different campground over this one, in the future, but I wouldn't say I would refuse to come back.
