Great campground right on the edge of Canmore city limits. They have token operated showers, drinking water faucets, and a dish washing sink. I stayed in tent site 79 and it was more than big enough for my partner and I. Every site has a fire pit / picnic table. My only complaint would be that there is a highway close by, and a McDonald's. There is enough trees to block most of the noise but I think more trees or a fence would help sound buffer. Didn't bother us downtown city slickers (my partner said it helped her sleep better), but hardly "roughing it". A small trade off for the convenience of the location.

Fantastic campground clean and fantastic location to bike or walk to town. Attended was beyond fantastic. Loved location. No issues and no worries on town location for thefts.

It has been mentioned before, but it is noisy as it sits between a railroad and Highway. There are no reservations so get there early. We arrived before 9am and found a spot. However the staff at that time came and said the spot we were in was already taken, my wife kindly explained that an rv just left and since there are no reservations allowed, his statement was untrue. He mumbled something and walked away. It is not a true campground but more of a parking lot with grass and trees, but it is the only place close to Canmore, so take it or leave it. Buy your firewood before you arrive, your ice as well. Showers are 1 token for 5 minutes which is plenty. Men’s shower was great water pressure but it will go down when more people are using the showers. No way to adjust temperature and it was on 5he hotter side of comfortable but acceptable. 30 amp hookups but no water hookups. There is drinking water taps available and the water is cold and delicious! There is no dump for black and grey water. Two nights is enough unless you don’t mind the noise. But that is not any fault of the campsite. McDonald’s is a short walk as is Tim Hortons. Safeway and Save On are close by as well. The city centre is about a 30 minute walk.

It's a first come, first serve camp ground. If you're tenting it, be aware that you will be in the bush, between the two major highways. It was nice and cool, you have to buy y our own wood though. Would have given it a higher rating, but the train makes the ground rumble, loud. Very loud, it's a train. We paid for two nights, and we decided to leave, asked for a refund, and no refunds were given. There's showers, so we exchanged our second night fare for tokens that we just ended up sharing with other campers. The sign we didnt listen too also, sorry. I was going to utilize what I paid for.

Campground team were really helpful and nice. Location is great just around Canmore Downside: only two stalls/showers so traffic in washrooms. RV sites on right off highway 1, so can be loud at night
