Stayed here for about 8 months while working out of town and had no problems! Large sites, full hook up and gravel pads. Clint and Lana are amazing hosts, bath house was spotless and the grounds were very well cared for. The pavilion is a nice spot to hang out when you just need to escape they camper and usually they have a fire at their cabin. Zeus became a highlight of my stay quickly. He was always happy to meet you when you got home and bring you his treasures. The location is great for trail riding, and quick access to other attractions in the surroundings. Excellent price for the stay.
You’re camping right ? You must have a sense of adventure. Like all real estate, the only three things that matter are location, location, and location. This location is nearly ideal for those of us traveling, amid natural wonders in the SW Virginia/SE WV area, and ready access to shopping and some interesting eats.. What really tops it (echoing what others have written) are the positive actions and attitudes of Clint and Lana who are busier than one-armed paper hangers, and still manage to smile. Several rows - most of the sites - are pull-through, and out in the open. There is a row of covered sites, one of which we took for our two nights there, backing in with ease. Plenty wide enough to set up the trailer, and unhook and park on the other side. The cover was extended down the back and one side, providing an excellent wind break. This is a multi-purpose industrial area, with some concrete and mostly gravel surface. They have done a clever job of laying spots of astroturf approximately where the door to your camper would be when you park. Good things bear repeating, and yes, the bathrooms are spotless - no hand towels because apparently a few bad actors spoil it for the rest putting towels down the toilets and blocking them. Plenty of hot water. There are three separate bathrooms, similar to a residence, each with toilet, sink, shower, a chair, a small table, and plenty of room. There are shower caddies, no toiletries provided other than hand soap at the sink. There is a laundry room at the end of the hall on which the washrooms are located. For finding the place, there is a billboard sized sign right by the road at the entrance way. They are so busy, there will likely be no one there to greet you immediately, and there is a large lettered notice on the door to call or text. They have three serious speed bumps on the entrance road - suggestion for the wise - take it easy in there. In short, this is a most excellent base from which to visit the area, limited only by your imagination. Highly recommend the Appalachian RV spot, and combined with local area, should earn it a spot on your bucket list.
Have a permanent site and have been here since August 2024. Clint and Lana treat us like family. Love this place. It’s convenient to most everything including trails. They keep up with the grounds and the bath house/laundry is the cleanest we have ever seen at a busy campground. Added bonus they are fun to ride with, Clint knows the trails… last but not least. Zeus is always happy to visit and help out lol (make your doggie treat box lighter) we love him!!
Awesome place to stay if you want to be close to everything. You can go to town or go to the woods to ride which ever you prefer. The owners have become family and would do anything for you. Love staying here, always excited to see Zeus, he’s always waiting on us when we arrive.
We have a permanent spot here and been here for 3 years. Clint & Lana are awesome people always ready to help you in anyway they can. They have dogs and Zeus always welcomes guest when they arrive. Everyone loves him. There is also a pavilion for everyone to use and there is also WIFI. Everyone that stays here is good friendly people and everyone has a good time here.
