Allegany State Park - Cain Hollow

Allegany State Park felt like a true escape into wide, open nature. The park is huge, and everywhere I went felt quiet and peaceful, surrounded by forests, rolling hills, and calm lakes. I spent time walking along some of the trails and really enjoyed how relaxing it was to just be out there with fresh air and very little noise. What I liked most was how uncrowded it felt compared to other large parks. Even on a nice day, it was easy to find quiet spots to sit, walk, or just enjoy the scenery. The lakes and picnic areas were especially nice perfect for slowing down and taking in the surroundings.

My husband and I took 3 children to Allegheny in late October for 3 days n 2 nights. It rained the entire time and we had a ball! I've NEVER in my life seen such friendly staff and helpful workers. Paid 25$ for wood that lasted 3+ days. The view was breath taking! Something here for everyone! Will be back next fall for sure!

We visited Allegany State Park in the beginning of October, and it was absolutely beautiful! I really loved the park. It’s huge, and although we only hiked a little before heading back, it’s such a wonderful place to explore and enjoy nature. The fall colors were simply stunning!

We recently visited Allegany State Park and had an amazing experience! The fall scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with vibrant colors everywhere.🍃🍁🍂 The trails were well-maintained and perfect for hiking and exploring. We also loved the playgrounds, which were great for kids, and had a blast riding our scooters around the park.🛴🛝🏞️ The bathrooms were impressively clean and convenient, adding to the comfort of our visit. Overall, Allegany State Park is a fantastic destination for nature lovers and families alike!

Stunning park. Beautiful views everywhere. The lakes and scenery are very eye catching. The electric cabins on Weller are perfect for what you need. (Pack a toilet, curtain and rope.) Hamlin trail no electricity we're sufficient but very rustic. Pack a decent amount of lanterns and flashlights. Cabin 17 on Weller Is on a pretty steep hill. Do not recommend for elderly people. I brought my mom and she struggled quite a bit.
