Wry nice people, clean facility. It is an older park that is being upgraded now. It can only get better than it is currently. I do wish the the park was set up differently. It would be nice to have a little more room. The spaces are tight. The newer area is much more spacious. Also, in the older part of the park, the spaces are set with RVs having your door open to your neighbor, not to their hook-up side.
I am SO disappointed. I understand each campground is allowed to run their own campground. But, shame on KOA for allowing this place to use the KOA name. Family friendly? No way would I let kids go near that playground. Sites 1-12 appear to be for your basic, traveling camper. The rest seem to be a combination of people living there and storage. A lot of people just there - not work camping. Maintenance could be done. Cosmetic is one thing - poor conditions on the grounds is another.
We pulled up to stay here with our two small kids yesterday and were shocked. I’ve worked at a KOA and we have stayed at KOAs around the country and this was the worse one we have seen. This is not kid friendly at all. It’s an overgrown trailer park. No picnic tables, the playground looked like something from a horror movie. Every trailer that was there looked like they were permanent residents. We didn’t feel safe staying two nights so we packed up and went to a different campground. Thankfully they did say they would refund me and only charge me a $20 processing fee but I do not recommend staying here especially with small children.
Nice people who genuinely tried to help but the site is simply outdated. Remodeling the area doesn't seem to be in the near future. Being in a wheelchair, showers and toilets were not ADA compatible. The electric hookup post were also extremely low to the ground and difficult to connect for me. Using a campervan, the site was not properly maintained in terms of overgrown grass but level. It seems to be a RV site for older folks as well. Again, nice and friendly people but for a KOA, lots of work needs to be done. Price was $36 with military/veteran discount.
Rates are cheap. Grounds need mowing a little more often. Dog park ok, wi-fi was good, cable did not work. RV sites a little tight, easy pull thru though. Level gravel sites. One side of the park long term residents living in older trailers with high grass and belongings around trailers. Easy access close to highway. Never spoke to staff. Office closes at 3:00. Envelope left on bulletin board. Park was quiet. OK for a few nights.
