It’s a great place to take photos if you are into photography. Also, perfect for recreational droning. Sadly, the park was closed (until further notice) when I went there on October 15 but boat launch was open.
The picnic area was closed due to the time of year but we still got to enjoy the rest of the lake are by the boat launch. Love this place
Buying a home 5 minutes away. You know where you’ll find me every weekend. We love it! We went hiking. Then we went and cooled off in the water. It wasn’t crowded. Considering it was Memorial weekend. Next time we go. We will learn a different hiking trail.
We enjoyed a 70-minute hike over trails that were easy to follow. My only regret is not having more time to spend there. Military, including veterans, can access the park for free. First, get yourself a free America the Beautiful card.
Love to go out there to sit and watch the lake and the fish in the birds and see the deer and have lunch. We also go out a lot of times and fish from the shore and it's just a great experience. Highly suggested for anyone who comes to the Harker hikes area to see and even do pictures.
