I cut the grass here but it is definitely a beautiful place to relax and camp n hide out for awhile
We camped in B loop for 7 days last week and had a great time. The park was clean and everyone we encountered was super friendly and courteous. I did notice on the second night, my circuit analyzer was showing an "Open Neutral" and my power cord was getting Hot on the 30A outlet. I was able to get in touch with one of the campground volunteers who immediately called maintenance. While I was speaking with these volunteers, my wife flagged down a different volunteer who happened to be passing by. Within about 15mins., both volunteers showed up with a 50A to 30A adapter for us to connect to the 50A outlet. This worked great and we had no other issues. The next morning maintenance showed up to verify that we were still good to go. I was extremely impressed by how quickly everyone responded and I felt that everyone was dedicated to ensuring we had a good camping trip. There is a sheriff that walks around the campground regularly and she is incredibly friendly and personable as well. They also have a small camp store that offers firewood, locally grown vegetables, preserves, and much more. I like that they have "3" Dump stations, so if you have to leave on a busy morning there is little to no wait when leaving. They offer several water front sites in A & C loop that offer amazing views. We have been sleeping on Wax, but will definitely add this to one of our regular campgrounds.
Loved the camp site we had directly on the water. Only hated the trucks and bobcat and employees right in front of us picking up washed up tree stumps. Their activities left a huge muddy waterfront to not only look at but to walk through to get to our kayaks!!!! It was great till then. 👎
We stayed in C11 on a Tuesday night in our tent with our baby and toddler. The loop wasn't even a third full and everyone was quiet and respectful. The bathrooms were clean and close. We swam in the lake, accessed just down the hill from our site. There was a great mini rock beach with a bunch of driftwood. If tent camping, plan to set up on the gravel pad and have a mallet or hammer for your tent stakes because the ground is hard. This was a great family friendly spot!
Beautiful campsite! Quiet, clean, and patrolled frequently by both rangers and the sheriff department. The restroom and showers were wonderful and very clean. Our site was right on the water. Cell service is spotty but expected. A dollar general is close and Buoys is next door with excellent food. We can't wait to come back!
