Shady Rest is the coolest place to camp for country fair! They have live music, drum circles, fire dancers, vendors, food and much much more! They keep it super clean and are very friendly!
The property owners are truly the best and put on such an amazing event for fair goers. A lot of people don’t even feel the need to go into OCF. Great entertainment, great food options, and they even serve local coffee every morning. This is my new favorite place to camp for fair.
Shady rest campground is the best place to stay or vend for country fair! I feel so at home every time we stay there, with the amazing hosts, Heidi and Cody they made us feel so welcomed and even came and hung out with us at our vending booth and asked if we needed anything. It’s such a gem staying here, with the dancing and fire circles and the amazing food booths. The security there is so amazing, also checking in with everyone and so friendly and helpful. A magical spot to stay you won’t regret it. You’ll definitely have a happy fair staying at Shady Rest ❤️
Last year was my first year staying at Shady Rest and it definitely won’t be my last! They exceeded every expectation I had. If you’re looking for a place to camp look no further! The property layout was great. Everything felt centrally located but not crowded. The night life was a blast!! I cannot wait to see the lineup they have for this year. I’m not even bummed that I don’t have a night pass for fair this year. The cherry on top was my short morning walk to the coffee cart they have on site. Can’t wait to see you guys this year. Y’all feel like family. 💗
Spent a weekend here for OFC and had the BEST time! Everything we needed was close by, the people were great and it was super close to faire! We loved walking across the street to the vendors and food. We had a whole slew of kids with us who loved it and felt safe to roam and explore as well. They had some fun interactive spaces and musicians that played all night!
