Scamander Tourist Park

Would have been great if half of the facilities were not out of order or just not working like outdoor BBQs.

This place is a run down hovel of a tourist park. The owner should be ashamed of themselves. The amenities are disgraceful, the kids playground pffft if you can call it that , is pitiful, hardly any equipment in there at all. Doesn’t seem to bother them too much though, I assume it’s the owner who just sits in his office all day while the place is falling apart around him. Do yourself a favour and drive by to St Helen’s. Might cost a little more but atleast it’s respectable.

We stayed in one of the budget cabins—decor was outdated, but it was clean and great value for money. Staff really looked after us, which made a big difference. The laundry was cheap (a bonus!), though it could use a couple more machines. Overall, a comfortable and well-kept spot in a great location.

Toilet block for campers well below average. Laundry has enough machines but 90% out of order… Zero maintenance it would seem. It’s old but well located. We knew what we were in for but although the price is relatively low I have been in much better caravan parks for same money.

Stayed in deluxe cabin#2. Very clean well done. Great outlook. Lovely grassed area. Have stayed here many times over the years and very happy.
