Camp Klahanie

Exceptional little spot with clean spacious lots & well maintained beachfront. Lovely lake access & friendly staff with clean facilities. Family friendly place; they’re always putting something fun on for the kiddos! We seasoned there for seven years & still look forward to returning as visitors every year

EXTREMELY rude to surrounding cottages. They refuse to work as a community after new owners took over. Blocking *fire routes*, dumping septic waste on private property, tearing up OUR private road with ATVs and parking trailers past property lines. They've even stopped cottagers from going to the general store, who are now forced to drive 15+ minutes to the closest store. They refuse to fix these things after being asked to do so multiple times. Really upsetting as I used to come here often as a kid. Edit: No reason in emailing you about an issue thats been ongoing for years now! If you have not already listened to the RESIDENTS of the area, you will not listen to a 17 year old that grew up there.

Just returned from Camp Klahanie. Very good experience; I used a waterfront tent site with water and electric. It was adequate for my smaller tent and truck. Great waterfront views from the site. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Long-term renters were also friendly. Very quiet at night. The loons calling were the exception! Clean beach, nice swimming area with raft. I didn't have a boat with me, but boat gas is available. Minimal foodstuffs in the store but other options are about 20-50 minutes away. Laundry room and showers available for guests. Great free used books to take, read, and share!

Very well kept and clean campground. Good boat launch area. The beach is very nice and a good place for kids. I only wish that there was a doggy beach area so that I could have enjoyed the sand with my family. Dogs and owners are allowed to play on the boat launch.
