Lake Evans, Buena Vista Aquatic Recreation Area

If I'm being honest, I'm starting to think this would be a great place for a larger family party, you know. Where you can play lawn games, go back to your campsite or home. You can go fishing, boating, or go to the shooting range Not that bad of a park. It's unassuming for sure. There's a campsite that I didn't visit so I can't speak on that. However, when you drive down further, it's a spacious park. You'll have plenty of room to be on your own if you wanna fish. There's more than enough boat docks if you want to get on the water. There's a convenience store plus a small gas pump in-between the camp and the day-use area. It seems like they stopped caring for their facilities. Instead, probably to save on time and money, they have port-a-potties near every bathroom. The ports are a lot cleaner than what I was anticipating, if I'm being honest. There aren't any hiking trails, I was hoping there would be a few There's a shooting range right behind the camp. I'm not sure on their pricing or anything like that

It’s been much better these last few years great place to take the family to do some fishing/ camping or even just enjoy your day out on the lake

Beautiful rustic park with giant shady trees and area that can be used for equestrian events. Love the evening sunsets where you can see gigantic flocks of small birds leaving the wetland on the far side of the lake (see close up of plain pic.), nice sunsets, and we had a pair of ducks that would swim over near our bank and fill up on fish. We also were visited by a large flick of pelicans. If you are lucky you may see a pair of otters. The restrooms were clean and had changing booths but no stall doors.

Beautiful recreation area consisting of two lakes. When is Lake Webb where skiing and swimming and fishing and the other one is Lake Evans where I was and me and my brother caught several large trout great fishing. They have campsites with full utilities.

This was a great outing for our family. Lots of trees, tables and grills. Trash can at the table and was newly emptied. There weren't too many people out. The bathroom was a disaster though. Will definitely return soon.
