Clarkco State Park is a true hidden gem. We loved the peaceful environment and how uncrowded it was—perfect for slowing down and actually enjoying nature. The 5-mile loop trail was a great hike, and spending time sitting by the lake was incredibly relaxing. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables throughout the park, making it easy to stop, rest, and take it all in. The restrooms were the cleanest of any park we’ve visited, which was a pleasant surprise. If you’re looking for a quiet escape, this park delivers. We’ll definitely be back.
This was a beautiful place. Very clean restrooms, fishing, skiing, pavilions with fireplace. Very nice.
We had a blast there and can't wait to go back. Nice cabins, a swimming area, playgrounds and splash pad. Fun for everyone!
The cabin was understandably a bit dated but had all the necessities and comforts of home. Our cabin was beautifully situated on the lake with a fire ring and a screened in back porch, which we definitely enjoyed. The hiking trails are well marked through the surrounding woodland with a clear creek running through it. They are currently updating the camping area, so there is some slight construction noise during the day. It is very peaceful and quiet after nightfall with a crystal clear view of the stars free from ground lighting. It's a great place to get away!
A fabulous, beautiful, well kept place to enjoy! The cabin and the park in general is top notch. The staff is super knowledgeable and super friendly. Very helpful and seemed genuinely interested in us enjoying our stay. The cabin was immaculate. Nothing was broken. Everything was clean and in order. The lake is beautiful. Many hiking trails that are well kept and easy to navigate. I wanted to play some disc golf. They rent discs if you want to give it a try. We will definitely be going back!
