We stayed in the princess lodge room. It was clean and very cute. There are some small repairs in the room needed, the windows aren't covered the best for privacy. But it's a really neat view and was very cozy. we also lost power one night and called the 24 hour maintenance, and got no resolve, but the power ended up restoring after about an hour. Just the lack of communication was not ideal. But overall I'd recommend.
Booked and paid for the Mountain Lodge Full House. Would recommend you save yourself $1,000 plus. Reasons being it had plumbing issues, the TV DOES NOT connect to WiFi. I didn’t have wifi my whole stay. Upon arrival there were beer cans left on the deck from person previous. Not one box of tissues, paper towel. Some cheap thin toilet paper is what supplied my group of friends that we had to retrieve from the bathroom. I passed these issues along to staff which brushed it off and didn’t want to do anything about it. I expect working toilets, clean establishments, WiFi when promoted in ad, and a box of tissues would be appreciated. I’ll be looking at other resorts when I host my next gathering. You should too.
If I could give service for skiing I would give a zero. I was on the hill for 10 minutes. We had a skiing out and skiing in cabin. I went to put my boots in my skis and stepped and my boot went through the snow into a hole that went over a foot down, when my boot went in my knee popped and twisted and needed help getting my boot out of the deep hole. First aid came and got me. They were wonderful. But when I talked to managment about a refund, because I was literally on the snow for 10 minutes before my boot went into a hole. They refused to even give me half the money back or even a ski lift refund. Said I signed a waiver. I get it but it wasnt like I was going to sue them. I understand that this is policy but at times you need to look at the details surrounding it. The fact that the snow wasnt packed in that area and I didn't use the lift , didn't even get down the hill needs to be taken into consideration. 160 dollars for nothing. I even asked for a partial refund or a credit for the ski lift. Nothing. Very disappointed. We have a weekend cabin and now everything down the drain. There is no such thing as customer service anymore. Just sad. Pissed and why the hell was the snow not packed there. You cant just chalk everything up to one vase fits all. You need to look at the details. Obviously due to the severity of the injury there was no way I could use anything I paid for. And 10 minutes doesn't constitute paying 160 bucks. Just sad.
Stayed in a cabin with some great views but had some annoying issues. The cabin comes with a woodstove and was supposed to come with a complementary bundle of wood, which we didn't have. Not a giant deal, but annoying to have to pester the front desk about. Second annoyance was that while the walkway to the cabin had been cleared by a snowblower before our arrival, it was still sloppy and in need of a shoveling. I would understand if it had just snowed, but it had been days since it snowed last. There also wasn't a cleared path to the bathroom/shower facilities that didn't require crossing a different cabin's deckFinally, there were no mats inside the cabin to prevent tracking snow in. Again, I understand it's a cabin but if you can put heavier covers in the bed for winter you can put a small mat inside. Thankfully I had a couple of bath towels I keep as rags in the back of the car so those made due. The bathrooms also don't seem to be attended to much. I saw the same literal poop stain on the top of toilet seat for days. Maybe the slopes had priority because those were groomed every night as far as I could tell. Overall, I was just disappointed in the lack of common sense service. I won't be back.
My niece's wedding was lovely! However, the guest services at Mont du Lac were greatly lacking. We had NO HOT WATER! They had provided an after hours service number which we called several times to report the problem, but no one ever responded! We also texted that same number and no one ever responded. I finally spoke with someone in person the following morning, but nothing was taken care of before we needed to be at the (late afternoon) wedding! I was promised a refund for a portion of our stay, but I have not received anything as of yet and it has been a month! There was also a mouse seen upstairs, a lamp that was not working, and several screens that weren't staying on the windows. I had paid for our stay months in advance, so they knew we were coming and staying there as guests. Not very welcoming.
