We stayed 2 nights in mid October in a back in site along the river. The campground is well maintained and easily accessible for our motorhome and tow vehicle. We were there to visit the Kancamagus Scenic Byway and Conway Scenic Railroad. The office staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Saco River Family Campground in North Conway, NY.
Perfect location. Clean and clear sites. Nestled in a quiet spot on the Saco River, close to all the attractions! Sierra was efficient and friendly and made the check in process easy, especially on a holiday weekend! Tim was so polite and helpful with our initial set up. Joe was friendly and welcoming! Will definitely return!
1. The shower/bathrooms are not kept fresh. The toilets in with the showers are in close proximity to the shower and have no toilet seat cover. 2. No where in your literature points out a charge for a shower. Carrying your accessories to the shower and then seeing you need change is a real hassle. 3. Free Wi-Fi did not reach site 25 we were located. On the plus side our site 25 was quiet. The site was large, and the river view was excellent.
We absolutely loved our stay here. So much that we extended our visit n extra day. The river was beautiful and it was warm enough two of the days to let the kids play in the water. The trick or treating on the weekends was a ton of fun and the playgrounds were great for the kids! If we’re ever back in New Hampshire we will definitely stay here again! The only “negative” I will say is our spot had a lot of mud/dirt so we put our camping rug out to help with keeping the tracking of mud inside down.
The campground was fine, clean, and the sites fairly level. Riverside sites were on the side of the river but hard to access. No babbling Brook here. The two dog parks were great. Our sites have just been remodeled so we had dirt instead of grass. The wireless connections sucked and the cable did not work. So if you have small children who require watching some shows during down time this is not a good place. Access to Mount Washington and the White mountains was wonderful. Get off of the beaten path and you will find some nice shops and farmers markets. I give this campground a three stars mainly for the disappointment in the riverside site and wireless connection. Access points need to be lowered.
