Wayside RV Park

We stayed one night while passing through to our destination. The park is located on a working farm, which adds a bit of rustic charm. It’s easy to find right off the highway, making it convenient. However, the sites are quite tight and could use fresh gravel and some maintenance. There aren’t many amenities, and the price felt a little high for what’s offered, $60/ night. There’s also some noticeable highway noise and if you’re traveling with a young pup, all the cats roaming around might drive them a little mad! It works fine for a quick overnight stop, but probably not somewhere we’d stay long-term.

In the middle of nowhere and we pulled in late. We wanted to use a credit card and were willing to pay a fee but were told cash or check only. I can't believe an RV Park that would rather take a check from someone from 2,800 Mike's away than a credit card. The place looked relatively nice but come on, this is 2025 nt 1968. Who travels with cash these days?

2025, July: RV spots: $40/night 30A, no sewer $60?/night 50A, full hookups If you’re late, fees and registration can be made in an overnight drop. This is a very quiet and laid back campground. The staff are friendly and so are the goats. This is out of the way, in a small town named Broadus. The Black Hills, Devil’s Tower, Rushmore, are all easy drives from here. No red pad noise, no people noise, just sounds of nature.

Called to reserve a cabin. Yes it was 1am our trip was delayed due to a child getting sick and spending the evening in the ER. We were tired and couldn't make it to our destination. The lady said, " I dont have any available at 1 in the morning." Then said, "call a hotel". She didnt need to be rude, she could have just been respectful about it instead of hanging up on me. We were honestly willing to pay what ever it cost to have a safe place to sleep. Do not recommend this place because of the lack of human decency and hospitalit.

We pulled in late one night for a tent site. The owner met us with a smile😊. Had a great night’s sleep. Washroom/shower was clean with plenty of hot water. There were a couple of cute goats in a pen that added some fun. Very affordable. Would go back again!
