Rest Area - Coaling, Eastbound

Always happy to see rest stops on my long drives. It's always clean too!

Stopped at 9am on a Monday - very quiet and clean. Felt extremely safe. Restrooms and water fountains only at this location - no snack/drink machines, but definitely a great place for a bathroom break and to stretch your legs! Edited - apparently there are vending machines on the side of the building, but I didn’t go see them.

They have bathrooms, vending machines, pet area, visitor coupons and information pamphlets inside and there was security on the premises

It was sad to see this pretty nice place in such a way. travelers at obviously messed up three of the only stalls open up on my arrival. The structure was clean without any paper and a fresh set as if it will recently completed. Even the restroom, upon entry, was clean except for the stalls when I arrived at 2:30 a.m. on the 31Aug. Nasty travelers soiled the restroom stalls and the failed to flush and clean their filth off of them. The offending travelers should be ashamed of yourselves for not having any home training and respect for what people see when they visit other people's home state visitor centers.

Nicely lit and pastoral setting. Very clean restrooms. A nice place to pause and look about. Visitor Center well stocked and with friendly welcoming staff
