Barwon Heads Caravan Park

The male staff last night was so racist. We are coming to site and the same spot few times now ( requested the spot). We did not know we can’t do BBQ at the site and music after 11pm. Male staff approached us at 11:40pm and passed racist comment in aggressive manner because someone wake him up from deep sleep when he should be on shift. We did turn off the BBQ and music then he said “YOU GUYS ALWAYS DO THIS AND WE CANT MAKE SAPRATE RULES FOR YOU GUYS”. And in the morning 9:30am other staff came to us started the same thing again and asked us why we playing music again. I think the staff do not want to see the other then Aussies to come to the park. So pathetic and disgusting. Staff needed to be retrained again how to have communication with the guest. Really disappointing. We Just wanted to give business to local but I think they do not deserve it. Thank you and never coming again.

Amenities shocking for the price you pay. 5 minute showers are a joke for the price you pay for a caravan site. Tried to come two nights earlier than anticipated to be quoted an extra $105 a night!?!?!? (Power and water site for a caravan) seriously over priced caravan park and sites are not upto scratch. Go elsewhere for the $$. I am sure there is much much better around. DO NOT STAY HERE. Reception staff was also not overly welcoming upon entry.

It’s a no from me… overpriced CRAP. Showers are timed for 5 minutes then a 5 minute delay until you have running water again, not very helpful when it took a minute to get hot water!! Honestly, how is a girl supposed to wash her hair?! Also they had clearly deliberate locked half the showers and toilets to avoid cleaning them (only two tootles and 3 showers open). Site was average and right on the road, got woken up to cyclists chatting at 6am travelling up the road.. wouldn’t stay again. An absolute rip off!

Great little spot. Need to be more clear on rules with dogs and fire pits within the facility. Some showers are pretty poor pressure where you can’t even wash the soap off but that won’t stop us from coming back. Great spot!

I stayed in a cabin for several nights. The cabin was clean, the beds were comfy, had a few choices of pillows (firm and soft), the shower had really good pressure and the kitchen had absolutely everything you can think of. Even the little things like salt and pepper. Location wise was terrific too, Everything was walking distance.
