Drove through while in the area to check out for a potential stay. A good bit of the sites looked quite small. Peaceful area but not really close too much. Beautiful location in the canyon is a very scenic drive! Best for longer RV: 15, 18, 2.

This area is beautiful and has become one of our favorite areas to stop and camp. There are a lot of outdoor activities all around the area, and we enjoy both hiking and driving the many features around the canyon. Even if you're just passing through, it's a very relaxing and peaceful area to stop for the evening. Like the other State Park's in the area, they have done a GREAT job upgrading/maintaining this parcel. Thank you, State of Nevada! Campgrounds are clean and have payment kiosks if needed. As of Sep 2024, Echo Canyon Reservoir has water in it and thankfully is looking healthier than just a few short years ago. The RV campground is nicely laid out and has large 1-way pull throughs with covered patios and concrete picnic tables. We will definitely be back again and can't wait to keep exploring up the canyon! -Mojo Mojo.Adventures / YouTube

Beautiful campground with amazing campsites and clean bathrooms. Each campsite has a grill, a fire pit, a spigot, and a shaded picnic table with plenty of room for a car and 1 tent for most. There is a wood donation area but plan to bring your own firewood and no showers are available that I could see. The tree cover is sparse, especially in some campsites with 1 tree, so expect more of a desert landscape and the reservoir is only good for fishing, do not expect to go for a swim. It is a very nice campsite with amazing amenities including drinking water, a drainage for RVs, and surprisingly clean bathrooms with running water. Unfortunately there are not many trails nearby within walking distance but there are a lot of things to explore within a 15 minute drive such as cathedral gorge. Overall a great experience!

Stayed at the northern campground and it was AMAZINGLY beautiful. There is only 1 set of bathrooms, but they are flush tiolets (outside of winter), and they are towards the bottom of the hill. The site I stayed at was fairly flat and had gorgeous plants and flowers growing all around it with a picnic table under a shelter, a water spout, standing grill and firepit! The Ash Canyon hike was breathtakingly fantastic and a bit harder than I expected. Many large rock steps mostly down and a few up. Wonderfully carved into the rocks with a few hand rails and guards to prevent falls into the canyon. The trail is a little overgrown but easy to follow.

Nice campground tucked between some hills. There are some trees for shade and each site has a table and shade structure. Most of the sites are big enough for at least small trailers; ours is 26 feet and fit in our spot easily. The reservoir is adjacent to the campground and is small, but stocked with fish and bug enough for a small boat.
