Came down for a fall fishing trip and we could not have been happier! The campground was super clean, very quiet and well maintained! The owners were AMAZING!!! Went way above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay! Will definitely be coming back!

If you haven't been here yet, put it on your list! Friendly people, great location and the best sand bar around. From kayaking to karaoke, you will have fun at the 'hoopee!

This is definitely a rural campground on a somewhat swampy river. The road 2.3 miles is a sand road, which is taken care of to the best of their abilities, but not something you would want to take a nice large camper or motorhome down. The sites are pull through and long however your view is of rows of full time residents with no rule of order or neatness. I understand the benefit of full/long term but those coming for vacation should have a nicer view. Maybe a separate area would help. There is a rule for dogs but not followed by the owners and their large dogs leave large deposits on your site leaving you to clean it up. I went to use the washer and dryer but they were so discusstingly filthy I walked out. Never used any of the restrooms but i can only imagine the condition they would be in. But for the locals to come tent camp and kayak it would work. The photos do not represent the current look of the campground .

Got a call from them not a week before our trip saying our reservation was unavailable. I was already seeing if we should bring the tent for a campground when instead they offered a complementary upgrade into the biggest cabin. It is so rare to see generosity now a days, it took me by surprise how kind they were. The cabin itself had large beds, privacy curtains, and a large central area. Just a great place and great service overall

This was my first time camping with an RV and let me tell you this place was it. I drove 6 hours to this campground from NC and let me tell you that it did not disappoint. It had plenty of stuff for the littles to do from volleyball to cornhole to a cool sandbar in the river. They had stuff for the adults too . My wife and I really enjoyed the kayaking down the river . The bathrooms are really clean according to my wife and mother also they are very strict about cleanliness and the speed limit
