We had such a great time camping here! It was quiet, cozy, and exactly what we were hoping for. Cute little places to grab food, groceries, etc. not too far from the campground, too. I did see a wasp nest on the playground equipment, but that's just a little heads up for anyone with kids.
What a wonderful little park! We stayed 2 nights in electric rv site while passing through. It's very peaceful here. There is an area for equestrian camping, horse trails, a boat ramp, lots of nice-looking fishing coves, a couple of fishing piers, and a cleaning station. Restrooms and showers are very clean and well maintained. Every few hours a park Ranger would drive through, which is a pleasant reassurance. If we're back in the area, we will definitely stay again!
Jeff was a great help getting situated. Cabin was clean and cozy. Great views, calm, and serene surroundings. Wish could have extended our holiday. Park has equestrian trails, rv lots, tent lots, and studio cabins.
We had a great time here! Camped in a tent at spot #97 and #98. The site was little small, so we had to park along the road. Not many campers in this side of the park so it was quiet. The loop with the RVs was packed! The equine trail head was right next to our site, so the kids were happy to see an occasional horse. We could occasionally hear a horse from the horse corrals which are nearby. Site #97 did not have a cooking grate on the fire ring, #98 did. Both sites were partial shade and had picnic tables. We walked around and this park is beautiful! There's a picnic area (one table) down on the lake where we took some nice photos. The beach was nice and clean and the kids had a blast there. We wished there was somewhere to rent kayaks or paddle boats. Overall, we had fun and would come here again!
Park had a lot of great trails along the lake. Nice picnic area with penisula areas and benches. Very nice swimming beach. The cabins looked nice and were right up by the lake. Some nice looking shelters. The turkey vultures were definitely out.
