I booked through Airbnb early Feb with a check-in date of 3/14 for 30.74. Host reached out on 3/6 with a bizarre question regarding how I was able to book the property for 17$ a night. Told him I booked it for 30$, not sure what he was seeing. He requested a 250% price increase because of an error in pricing. Blamed me for predatory booking practices, then canceled once I would not accept his price increase. Suggested that if there was indeed a pricing error, that it was between him and Airbnb, not me. Continued to blame me. Regardless of the pricing error, he sat on the booking for 3+ weeks before canceling and forced us to find lodging with little time to spare. If the price was impossible for him, he should have handled it immediately. Photos on conversation and original booking attached.
Nice park for West Texas. Clean, let me stress management is always someplace cleaning or tidying up the park. Clean cabins. Food truck on site has great food 5 days a week. We'll kept grounds, gravel sites and roadways. Laundry clean and up to date seems to be the town laundry too. Shower room/bathroom is small but large enough to get that all important shower in. Great place to stay in W Texas. Halfway between Lubbock and Amarillo, you really get the Texas small town feel here everyone is very cordial to strangers prowling their town of Silverton.
We enjoyed staying here in our RV a few nights ago. Easy pull through space with full hook up. Friendly owners. A highlight was their food truck about fifty feet away from our spot. Dinner was delicious. Giant homemade chocolate chip cookies for 99 cents! We knew we would have breakfast at the food truck, too! Great food, reasonably priced. Come hungry!
Excellent RV park!!!! Super clean site, laundromat and shower room. Electric service worked perfectly along with the water and sewer connections. Caprock Canyon (20 mins) and Palo Duro Canyon (35 mins) are close by and easy to get to. We would have tried the food truck more than once if we hadn’t brought so much of our own groceries. We had Buffalo wings and a Hamburger w/fries. Both excellent (and very reasonably priced). Owners are very attentive and courteous!!! Hope to go back soon!!
We stayed here for 6 nights on our way out west for the Winter. The owners of the campground are very friendly and welcoming. They accommodated our needs in every way. Our spot was really nice and level, with a cute fence to define our site. the campground is kept very clean and neat. the bathrooms were clean but the water was really not hot enough. The food truck they operate is right there on site, and was really nice considering it's literally the only place to eat in Silverton. We enjoyed staying here and highly recommend!
