This year was our 5th year staying at Mainstay Cottages and RV. We have always requested site #7 because my coach fits there well. Pearl & Roger are the absolute nicest people you could ever meet. The view is like a dream. You could not ask for a better place to stay for a vacation. We will be back again.
We just love this place! So quiet and peaceful! Easy walk into town for breakfast lunch or dinner. Well stocked grocery store, as well. Bike to the trails or kayak right from the campground. Roger and Pearl are the best! Just booked 2 weeks for July 2026!
We spent five days at this wonderful cottage. The owners, Roger and Pearl, were awesome hosts. We even had to extend a day due to rain and they gladly accommodated us. The best part about this place is stepping out on the porch late at night and hearing total silence, only broken by the soft sound of the ocean a few feet from the deck.
Great small RV park. Excellent views of the inlet. Walking distance to ferry to Bar Harbor. Friendly owners. Pretty level sites. Walking distance to a couple restaurants and a really excellent little bakery. Very close to Schoodic district of Acadia. There's a couple of cabins to rent right on the water that looked cool, although we didn't check them out since we were in a camper. Very quiet and peaceful. Only knocks are that many of the sites are very close together, and there's no restroom/shower house. There is only one washing machine and it's cold water only. No dryer--line dry only on a provided clothes line.
We stayed for 3 days in July in our RV. We had no problem with the electricity, water, or sewer. The owners are very friendly and suggested some fun activities to do upon our visit. The property is gorgeous, and well maintained. We especially liked there were nice tables and chairs set up at each site, and a fire circle central for all guests to mingle at. The views of the harbor were gorgeous, and a very short walk to the pier for the ferry. We were also able to catch a free bus into Acadia National Park from right outside the park. We plan on making this a bi-annual vacation spot. Thank you for the amazing spot!
