Well this place looks and feels pretty amazing, lawns lovely and green everything neat and tidy, simple and elegant, there was around 60 of us booked in for a three day long weekend wedding, so most of the time things went well, but the functions were pretty poorly organised things not set up on time or not done at all, as in area set up for the footy Friday arvo outside bar area didn't get set up and opened, couple had to go find out what was going on finally opened outside boarding go down to well then the evening of the wedding, the first lot of food platters the sartays weren't cooked properly then at around 9.30pm they run out of the beers everyone was drinking so the events organiser finally managed to get more and said will make last hour free and spirits and heads off for night, workers shut bar down hour earlier than told, couple not happy, think time for a new event's organiser so everything set up on time and runs smoothly and don't run out of alcohol π π€π‘π€¬
We left here today. Initially booked in for a week, ended up staying 2. Staying 7 nights gets a better rate, pay for 6 currently. Park is huge, hundreds of sites, powered and un-powered. Grass sites or concrete pad sites with ensuites. Which are more than adequate, nothing fancy, but very suitable for what you need. They even have an alcove you can store excess gear in if so desired. Sue and Carol in reception on arrival were both very friendly and welcoming, and were happy to extend our stay, even though it's a very busy place, and mostly fully booked. The ensuite sites have pay for your power on leaving. Rate wasn't too bad, around 34c/kWh. The adjoining Club Tropical gives 10pc discount for park customers, so that's a bonus too. Lots of returning caravanners, so it must be good. The Birdlife in the park is amazing, Curlews wander everywhere even had them walk through our awning. They are not shy. Plenty of plovers and ibis too. Easy walk to Lee Point Beach, and to Buffalo Creek Boat Ramp, both worth a look. Casuarina shopping centre not too far away, and a smaller one at Leanyer a bit closer but not as much there. Would definitely stay here again. Gus and Kerrie Brisbane.
Fabulous park, lots of shade and lovely and green. Beautiful clean pool. Sue is delightful and ready to help in any situation. Best park in Darwin
Located towards the end of Lee Point rd, it's helpful if you have a car & convenient for people working at the hospital. Does make for quiet surroundings. Great to access the coastal paths at Lee Point. Friendly, helpful staff, who rang us when we left a charger behind on checkout. Comfortable beds. Daily room service available + cafe on site. Peaceful, well shaded, large pool to relax by. I would happily stay here again.
We spent 2 weeks in the caravan park here and loved it. We had an ensuite site. Everything is rather old and tired but well maintained. Itβs in a great location just a short walk to the beach, the MTB trails are across the road and the resort is next door with a restaurant, second pool etc. It was much cheaper than all the other parks and much quieter. We had a huge site. There is rubbish collection of your own bins (provided in ensuite) twice a week and an elderly gentleman collects your 10c bottles in a crate that he places at your site. You get a discounted rate if you stay 2 weeks or more. The ladies at reception were very helpful. Our fav campground to stay in Darwin!
