Pleasure Cove Campground

Easy in and out launch. Fishing was good throughout the cove even in January. 2nd time we've launch here, definitely be back again, perhaps even camp out next time!!!

We spent a week camping in a tent. However parents brought the RV. Easy hookups for them. The lake is a short walk. Lots of misc debris at the lake. Clean portable toilets. Store in walking distance.

We stayed there for a weekend trip in mid-October. The overall camping site is cleaned. Campfire wasn't allowed during this time but our propane gas tank works just fine. We had lots of fun fishing by the creek. It wasn't too windy at night. The staff drove by many times and waved at us. We didn't have much interactions other than seeing them driving by and through text. All in all, they were very friendly and helpful. The camp site got some shades. There were many insects as you would expect near a water body. There were many wild animals in the area. We saw some deer, foxes, a big cat around 60-70 lbs, skunk, turkeys, etc. They were not afraid of people, and they were not aggressive toward human. You might want to keep your small children close by especially after dark. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would definitely consider visiting again.

Pleasure cove is a beautiful place. Unfortunately the water in the lake is decreasing to an astonishingly low level. If you want to visit I would definitely recommend coming in the off season (not summer) as it's much more calm and peaceful and there are plenty of cabins available. The store is also a great place to resupply, but it's a little hidden behind one of the buildings facing the water.

I went to visit family at their campsite for a birthday party it was very nice they had clean bathrooms plus porta potty with soap and nearby access to water faucet which was great also for cleaning up BBQ sauce after dinner and there were dumpsters nearby to dispose of trash which was nice and the water was close and easily accessible the kids had a blast we used nearby tree for pinata and had a wonderful time. The scenery was absolutely incredible and the fresh air amazing time all around I will be coming and renting a spot myself soon!!
