Somerset Beachside Cabin & Caravan Park

A great little spot to use as a base for your van while you check out the area. Nice clean

The lady on the front desk was friendly, accommodating & helpful, the showers were a bit tired, but spotlessly clean & hot water plentiful. It was quiet, a bit of highway noise, but that was where we camped. A lot of permanent residents by the look of things, some of these, a bit unkempt & shabby, were a bit of a downfall for the park. But would go back again.

Lovely friendly staff Lots of very happy and friendly permanent residents. Easy access to toilets, laundry, kitchen and Lounge room. Very reasonably priced. Spotless facilities. Highly recommend and would happily stay again. An Oldie, but a Goodie !!!

Would not recommend this as a caravan park. It is full of permanent residents that have set up Shanties. We were there for 3 (too many) nights. Almost all day and late into the night a generator that one of the permanents have was running. Had to make phone calls each night after 11pm to get it stopped. Many of the permanents said this happens daily. The facilities were dark, old and dirty, the showers had floor tiles missing to list only a few of this very tired camps failings. There is also alot of road noise due to the caravan area being so close to Lyons St at the rear of the camp. Never again will we book and pay ahead for multiple days without first checking it out. With a bit of work this place could be really nice again. The entry is lovely and so are the internet photos but alas that's as far as it goes. The fees were almost the same as the camp down the road which was far superior for quiet and cleanliness, wish we had rebooked there. Just thought by the photos this would be a lovely place to be. 😟

Stayed for 4 nights and loved it! Being so close to the road was quite noisy but got used to it pretty quick. Great flat camping ground, close to toilets. No assigned spots which was great. Toilet/showers were always clean. Could do with an update but they were perfectly functional! Kitchen and laundry were great and so was the tv/pool room. Most of it seemed to be permanent residents but still enough room for camping and caravans. Staff were very helpful and cheery. Would definitely come back and bring some friends!
