Camp Ground

Nice little campground right at the corner of one of the main roads into Vulcan. Washrooms available and nice open level lots.

This is a Municipal Campground which means it’s first come first serve - no need to book anything. Just come in and enjoy. Went here on the last weekend of June and only saw 1 other spot taken by a camper. Otherwise it’s quiet and empty - maybe 6 sites total ? The place has flush toilets and sink with running water. The grass was nicely cut. Some mosquitoes but nothing too bad. Quiet and calm at night to sleep in a tent.

This place is perfect if you are pedaling across the country. The rates are great to spend a zero day in Vulcan. I was the only one here during the two nights I spent here in the middle of Summer. I appreciate little towns that have these campgrounds, thank you. I had a great time exploring the town and pigging out. Had a great evening sipping tea on a bench and watching the full moon rise over the prairie.

Free camping for up to a few nights. Pull thru and regular sites with picnic tables. Some traffic noise. Free bathrooms, sani and water station. Great location just off the highway.
