We stopped for one night with a 45ft Fith wheel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. With Larg lots and easy access from highway and through the park. Nice Playground and pool. One of nicest campgrounds we been in and wish we had stopped in the summer and stayed longer
New owners are amazing! Super friendly and accommodating. We needed somewhere to stay after being stuck in traffic for hours due to a winter storm. They were able to get us in last minute, escorted us to outlet site, and showed us around. They have new electrical hookups for everything you may need and are continually renovating to make things better. Conveniently located minutes from I70. They have a pool and playground for the kids and are conveniently located near a park with caves for your outdoor adventures. Unfortunately, it was dark during our stay so no pictures but I highly recommend!
We stayed one night at Hickory Ridge Campground and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The park was clean, quiet, and easy to access right off I-70 — perfect for an overnight stop. The owners were super friendly and welcoming, and the grounds were well cared for. Highly recommend to anyone passing through!
This campground has pros and cons like most. Staff were friendly. They put on a haunted trail for Halloween that was fun and better than we expected. We were given free passes. Campground was free from liter and trash looks nice. Has a park and pool. Conveniently located. Price is reasonable for full hookups. Some sites are bigger than others. Our spot was a bit on the smaller side but was fine for the weekend. The biggest con for me are the more permanent residents and dog poop not being picked up. Our site and the other couple we camped with site had quite a bit of dog poop from the sites next door to us that seemed to both be permanent residents. We had to be careful walking and hooking up to not step in dog poop.
Nice place just off the highway. Site was not level and the water spigot was not easy to find as it was in a hole about six inches deep. Grounds seem mostly maintained. Staff were super friendly. I biggest drawback was the amount of long term campers areas was not up to a standard where it should reflect a positive view for the campground. Most were very trashy looking. I also noticed several areas that needed maintenance attention. Wires hanging out of the electrical boxes, sites using the same water spigots, several cars that looked like they were abandoned. I would go back if we had a group gathering again, but not just to stay the weekend for the wife and I.
