Great place to cool off. Love that they have outdoor showers to rinse off. The snowcones were a great treat
Came at a time when it wasnt to busy to have a birthday party :) very fun time, we got a crawfish
Went for a morning sup. Had a great time. Easy launch site. Large swimming area.
This decent sized lake is just a short drive West of Redding. The Oak Bottom Marina is adjacent to the beach. I'm not sure if we missed a sign or not, but the Marina was a bit hard to find (turn left before the parking lot on the left). We rented kayaks for 4 hours and had a wonderful time. We saw a large variety of birds and even watched a bald eagle fishing.
This was one of my favorite places on the lake!!! I brought my kayak here many times. There is a launch area right next to the parking lot. Once on the lake, there are a number of island to kayak around and it's just stunning! There are always kayakers on the water, and people boating, and swimmers. It's a great place to relax. There are bathrooms available. And there is a wheelchair accessible trail that goes from the parking lot, to the picnic tables on the left side of the cove.
