Great place to camp. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Always there when we need help with something. New management is great.
This place is a joke. Let's start out on how tight the sites are together, then there is ZERO room for your vehicle. Next, search for personall. Next, water . The water spigot is in a 2ft round hole and nearly unreachable, as it is at least 2 feet down. Also very difficult to connect because of pipe angle. Also literally right off hwy. NO sleep. Do yourself a favor. Go here only if it's the last place on earth. Better off at Walmart parking lot
I stayed for one night, and it suited my purpose. I was just looking for a clean place with water and power to stay the night. Pros - the bath house was clean. The grounds were clean and well maintained. Owner was attentive and easy to deal with. Cons - Tight spaces and a few trashy campers. It seemed like nearly all the spaces were occupied by seasonal and long term rentals. The seasonals seemed well maintained. The long term? Well the spot I was next to looked like a trash heap. Bales of straw piled around the trailer, tools, hunting decoys, and trash surrounding it as well. Not what I want to see when I look out my window. I was only there for a night, so I just packed up and left the next morning, but it is not a view I would have wanted for a multi day stay.
Seriously had the best time at Lazy R Campground! The spots are roomy and shaded, with full hookups and the on-site store has everything you might’ve forgotten. They have an inground pool, free Wi-Fi, playground, and even a fishing pond. Can’t wait to head back!
We stayed here for several months while my husband worked in the area, and I have never been so sad to leave an RV park! The people there are definitely what earns it 5 stars! The park has a lot of seasonal campers, so during the summer season there are always fun events to participate in and socialize with some of the best people you’ll ever meet. As a note, some spots are a bit unlevel (ours wasn’t, but some in our row were), but the property manager, Wayne, is working to improve that. The roads in the park can be tight for larger rigs, but we managed fine in our 35 foot fifth wheel. There is also a good bit of road noise simply because you are right off of 36, but you get used to it and it means that the park is very convenient to several towns. They are expanding the park, so I can’t wait until we are in the area again to see all of the improvements!
