Nice place to take the family camping. Wasn't busy at all. Lake was great to swim
This a nice primitive campground with lake access. Very quiet and laid back and family friendly. Only drawback is a lack of good shade on many sites. A lot of trees have come down in recent years without a program to establish new ones. There's a lot of daylight hours up north in the summer and more shade would help on hot days.
Have been camping here since I was 3 weeks old get back as often as I can. Rustic few amenities, hand pumps for water. The DNR don't take care of it as much as they used to and the beach has completely been enveloped by the lake. Still love the lake, and a quite walk in the woods. Be mindful there is Poison Ivy along the trails.
Love this campground. Nice and quiet, Great swimming lake, great fishing lake,, spacious campsites and the DNR ladies were very nice.
Excellent "Rustic" Campground with Lakefront sites. Quiet clean all sports lake. Two valut toilets available. Our campsites were a bit littered with trash due to negligent campers but hopefully that isnt a regular thing. Minimal to no presence of State Forest Rangers. Campground did get a bit noisy after quiet hours on a Friday night and with no ranger presence that could be a problem if you are particular about quiet hours (10pm - 8am). Generators are allowed except during quiet hours.
