River Retreat Home & Holiday Park

We stayed here for one night between Christmas and NYE at an unpowered site. The staff were very lovely. Pool, bbq area and bathrooms were extremely clean. Quiet. Right on the water. Great place to stay for a night or two while passing through.

We have used a powered Site which were roomy and level. Even though there are a lot of permanent it was quiet and well maintained. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the amenities were lovely and clean. You do have a few jets flying over to the airport but you soon get use to the sound and it’s only really in daytime hours and a few in the evening. Thank you Di for making our stay a pleasant and memorable one.

Great caravan park near Tweed River. Noisy with planes flying quite low over the park. Clean amenities and caravan sites okay too. Unfortunately the park doesn't have a cancellation policy even with ample notice but retain the full amount for the next visit. Didn't want to do that as during COVID lockdown we lost our deposit as apparently managers/ booking system changed.Lots of long term residents which makes the park less touristy. Dog friendly a plus

We booked in for a week stay for the school holidays and would definitely recommend. Nice and quiet park with a beautiful bali style pool that has a river view. Absolutely stunning. Powered sites are big with concrete slabs. Staff are super friendly, amenities are clean and well looked after. Huge clotheslines & a laundry as well. River straight across the road for fishing which the kids loved! I don't understand the bad reviews! It's been fabulous.

Our powered site looked on to the river next to the pool. Really enjoyed our stay, helpful staff, amenities clean and spacious. Yes the park is under the flight path to airport but it was fine not unbearable. We would stay again. Our dog loved all the grass. No problems
