Great little campground conveniently located right off I-80! Gas station is RV friendly & has awesome food!! Friendly and helpful staff. Our spot was spacious (on the end of a row) and had a fire pit - awesome view of the night sky. Short distance to “town”. They had great breweries to visit and state park is close if you want to hike!
Ok for an overnight stop. The Iowa Cafe has great burgers. The site was really narrow, so not much privacy. Thick grass clippings. My site had what looked to be car window glass all over it. A couple of the sites had really old junker trailers occupying them. It’s right off I80 with full hook ups. The price is reasonable.
Easily accessible just off I-80. You will hear highway noise. Very clean & tidy. Staff were very helpful, professional, and delightful to chat with. You check in at the Amoco gas station, sundries and takeout food available. Laundry facilities. Huge field to walk our dogs. Neatly mowed and trimmed. We were in a pull thru site with full hookups. The sewer was very far forward, such that we would have had to pull the camper up way fast on the gravel pad, and then move our truck behind the camper, to use it. Also, the sites were so close together that if we did use the fire pit, the fire would have been dangerously close to our neighbors slide-out, plus all the smoke would have gone right into their slide-out. We needed a place to stay just for a night, and this campground worked just fine for that. I would stay here again for that purpose, but probably not for an extended stay only due to the very tight quarters and positioning of the septic. Otherwise a delightful campground.
Loved this smart mix of art and practical RV design, neatly manicured between cropland and highway. The park makes great use of nature, wood carvings, murals, a couple of chicken coops, all celebrating Iowa's rural countryside. Full hookups, tidy grounds, and cheerful flower pots made our week-long stay easy and enjoyable.
This is the place to stay! We were on a long road trip from Oklahoma to Wisconsin and this way a great spot to stay overnight. The owner went above and beyond to take care of us. He quickly sent me a message with a map of the campsite and where we were staying. They have a restaurant onsite and he offered to stay open so we could eat after a long day of travel (the food was fantastic and the ice cream was top notch). The campsite is very well taken care of and was very cute! Lots of flowers and chairs, you can tell they really care for this place! Highly recommend checking this place out!
