I was able to reserve a tent spot for $43. The staff member (old man) told me the pool was closed, which disappointed me, but then I noticed the sign said it closed at 8, not 7. When I told him, he brushed it off and rode off on a three-wheel motorcycle. Turns out, the pool was open. So I went for it. I stripped down and dove in. The water was cold, but I had the entire pool to myself, and it felt incredible after a desert hike. KOA was a solid experience overall, clean showers, a sink to wash dishes, decent privacy with each spot walled off, and even Wi-Fi and electricity. Not bad at all.
Lovely KOA. I would stay here anytime. There are not many options in the area anyway. The Camp host met me just as he was locking the door for the night. I was having vehicle difficulty and it was dark and cold and he took the time to walk me to my site and guide me. God bless his efforts.
Easy in and out from Highway. Level spots and immaculate restrooms. Yes the town is not booming but it’s not scary or unsafe as some of reviews suggest. Would certainly stay again when traveling through the area.
A great place to stay. Reasonable prices for a KOA. The manager was wonderful. We only stayed for a night on our trip, but I could stay there longer. Has a great camp store with a little bit of everything.
Great for one night only. As some have mentioned, the town looks totally depressed, the empty houses on the drive in to KOA are almost spooky. At the end of April the pool was dry and closed. Yes plenty of level spots but the Trees mentioned; were all saplings.
