We tried staying here for the winter while working and homeschooling, but unfortunately the management and owners made it difficult to feel comfortable. There’s a strong sense of being watched and frequently monitored, and we were repeatedly reminded of it. Louis (a manager) was friendly at times, but often used interactions, like giving quarters for laundry, as an opportunity to vent about the owners (Mike and Stacy). Mike, one of the owners, was especially strict and confrontational about rules (particularly pet-related), including threatening eviction if rules weren’t followed. What made it more frustrating was the double standard: he would walk around with his own dog off-leash while emphasizing strict enforcement for everyone else. Stacy and the other attendant were mostly indifferent and didn’t contribute much to improving the experience or addressing concerns. The location is convenient and the river can be beautiful, especially when you finally get a quiet moment after a long week. However, the overall environment just wasn’t relaxing. The resort is also right next to the BNSF train line and a Duraline factory that runs 24/7, which creates constant noise and heavy light pollution. This was our first time living full-time in an RV during winter, and it will likely be our last time at this resort. You live and you learn. Update: Before leaving the RV park I had emailed them and voiced my concerns, and was ignored. Now that we are gone, the owners contacted me and tried to give me $200 to delete this Google review (see pictures).
I stayed at River’s Edge for two months and was very pleased with everything. Great area by the river for fishing or dog walking. Grounds, laundry room, and other facilities were clean and well maintained. Hook ups at the site were in good condition. Office staff was always helpful and friendly. Highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Not hard to find. Out skirts of town. Fairly large population of full-timers. Looked like plenty of pull through sites. The "Resort" is basically 10 acres of a gravel parking lot. Trees here and there. Good water pressure. Fair free wifi. Some buffering. I'm guessing there's some good fishing off the near by bridge. Wish I had my poles. Helpful and attentive staff. Small playground for the kiddos. The park backs up to the North Platte River. Only a few view sites but good area to walk the pooch. Casper: possibly the cleanest city I've ever seen. I got a picture of the parking lot across from a pizza joint. Spotless. Saw 1 homeless dude. No graffiti! Of course I didn't see the whole city but wow. Almost a Stepford vibe.
So I recently was in the Casper, Wyoming area for work for a couple months and really enjoyed my stay at Rivers Edge . The staff was always available for anything I needed rather it was quarters for laundry or suggestions on local things to do. The park is clean and well maintained and sits directly on the beautiful Platte River. There are several little extra perks on the property for families and children . They have horseshoe pits, corn hole and a nice playground for the kids . They also have a few different relaxing areas to sit and relax or throw some steaks on the grill . The shower and laundry facilities are the best I scene with plenty of room and never crowded. They were always cleaned and well taken care of and the hot water seemed to last forever. So if you are just passing through or going to be in the area for a longer stay Rivers Edge is by far the best in town . I travel with work all over the country and they are doing it right at Rivers Edge .
This is the best RV park in Casper, in my opinion. The owner's are great people. And the manager, who's been here for more than a decade is a great lady. While it is close to the train track (very few trains), unlike some of the other parks in Casper, it's not right beside the interstate. It's not up on a hill where the wind blows harder, although Casper is known for its wind. The park property goes right down to the river with benches and picnic tables to sit on. Nicely kept lawn area all along the river frontage. It's a great place to walk the dogs. We have stayed here twice and will be back next year for a week. While there are a number of "permanent" rigs here, most are newer well kept RVs. It's fairly quiet in the evenings, and no wild, loud parties. The facilities are clean, all the laundry machines are in working order. I've not been in the cabins, so I can't speak to the upkeep on those, but I suspect they are clean and well kept also judging from the rest of the park. If you are looking for a place to stay, this would be my choice every time.
